After many months of negotiations, rallies, mediation, fact finding and an official strike vote set for April 13, California Faculty Association (CFA) and California State University administration have reached a tentative agreement, averting a statewide strike within the 26,000 member union.
California State University System’s mission since its inception has been to provide high-quality affordable college to all Californians. CFA leaders claimed their ability to attract and retain outstanding applicants with comparatively stagnant wages was increasingly difficult and would have long-term implications.
